We are delighted to have launched a new #partnersh

We are delighted to have launched a new #partnership with @interactstroke to support the provision of rehabilitation services to people who have been recently diagnosed with stroke in West London. InterAct Stroke Support tackles these issues with a live, interactive reading service. An InterAct actor/reader will visit the 9 West stroke ward (occasionally others as well) two to three times a week for two hours per visit. They will work with the patients on a one-to-one basis, tailoring the readings and conversation, as much as possible, to the interests and comprehension levels of each patient. We have secured a minimum grant for InterAct but we will match every donation received through our PayPal account, pound per pound, with our own funds, so we will double your solidarity. Together we are stronger and can prevent, identify and help somebody having a stroke. Following our AGM this week we have a new composition of our Board of Trustees. They bring excellent knowledge and skills to our Board with coaching, financial management, strategic planning, partnership development and knowledge of the third sector in #Hammersmith. The new Board has launched a new strategic plan which includes also a new grant-making scheme for strategic partnerships with local organisations in the community of Hammersmith & Fulham Council with a focus on #communityhealth and #socialinclusion.

Friends of Charing Cross Hospital is joining the campaign, along with with many other organisations, such as @mentalhealthfoundation @_itsmental_ @mentalhealthawareuk @mentalhealthmates @mentalhealthaware in disseminating positive messages about #mentalhealth. Together we're stronger and can identify, prevent and tackle mental health issues in its various forms. Our 51st AGM is being called for Wednesday 17th of May at 7.30pm. His event will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams.
